It is a wrong concept to demonize sugar. Human has to have enough glucose in the blood stream to function normally. A clinical condition called "hypoglycemia" is the situation of not enough glucose in blood. A person in hypoglycemia could be having symptoms of hungry, shaking, cold sweat, nervous, agitated, etc. A person did not have enough sugar intake, might eat a lot more carbohydrates like rice or bread and end up with more glucose in their blood than they realize.
